Fall Project

Since I don't participate in the lovely art of prop making, I often lack the sense of pride in creating something specifically for the Halloween season outside of designing this website. To combat this, I decided to give something else a shot this year.

I plan on creating music/soundscapes that capture the essence of my feelings towards Halloween. Granted, I won't be putting all my efforts and talents into it due to lack of time with school and work and everything else going on in my life. The sounds should be interesting, nonetheless.

With that said, I plan on calling this year's project "Indrid Cold: Within." I will post a new song/ambiance/soundscape/whatever it is periodically throughout the following two months which will culminate in a full collection of work available as a complete download after Halloween.

Woot has some cool vintage movie posters available right now. Plenty of horror themed movies in the bunch. Better hurry, though, as they are limited in supply and typically go pretty fast.

Meet The Creeper

Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe was a giant influence on my love for Halloween as a youngster. At the ripe age of 8, I had been exposed to this cd and fell in love with the artwork and the music. While my tastes in music have no doubt changed, I still throw on the Hellbilly Deluxe classics around this time of year.

The artwork in the booklet is still some of my favorite Halloween-ish visuals to this day. In case you aren't familiar with these, I'll show you why they evoke those spooky autumn emotions so easily:

A little later than I had initially announced, but the downloads page has been updated with the Ghost Cam .psd file. Have fun with it.

IT LIVES

The new site is live. The media section now consists of any video, audio, wallpapers, and games I post here. The downloads section will be home to various treats I will offer up for you all. I will have the "ghost cam" .psd file (click here if you don't know what I'm talking about.) up by the end of the day to kick things off.

If the site is giving you any problems such as things not looking right or not working well, please leave a comment and let me know so I can address the issue.

'Tis The Season

In my book, it's Halloween season. Mid August is close enough for me. As I've said before I think considering the start of the season earlier is beneficial because it allows me to enjoy the spirit of Halloween for a longer period of time rather than waiting for October or mid to late September.

That being said, the new Necropolis site will be launched this Saturday. Hope to stay busy around these parts and post some interesting things in the coming weeks.
