Nostalgia-ween

McDonald's used to be quite a Halloween friendly joint, if you remember. It seemed like, as a kid anyways, that they were doing something Halloween related every year. This included the famed pumpkin/ghost/witch pails, Happy Meal toys, etc.

Well, in 1995 they decided to do something very cool. They gave out cassette tapes that featured spooky songs and scary sound effects alongside the toys. Although I was only 5 at the time, I definitely remember these special treats and loved them to death. I listened to the one or two tapes I had as much as possible. If you are completely clueless to these or you may remember vaguely, here is a commercial spot to help you out:

I'm pretty sure I had the Hamburglar and Grimace toys and one of the tapes. Unfortunately, those toys and tapes are LONG gone. If only we knew how much we'd miss our childhood when our parents told us to gather things for a garage sale...

Luckily, other people do save these gems that appear lost in time. Here are a couple YouTube videos featuring the tapes. The B side of them (the spooky sounds and instrumental music) are the best, so just sit tight while listening.

These are the only two I have been able to find, so if you know where the others are just leave a comment and I'll add them to the post.
